What Really Matters in ABA

What Counts as Medically Necessary in ABA Treatment?

Medical Necessity: When a health insurance provider funds an individual to receive ABA services, we are required to only treat behaviors which pose a significant risk to the personal safety of the individuals or others.

Medically Necessary:
  • Decreasing socially inappropriate behaviors
  • Decrease maladaptive behaviors
  • Receptive and Expressive Communication
  • Daily Living Skills
  • Pragmatic Communication
Not Medically Necessary:
  • Academic Skills: reading, writing, mathematics, etc.
Our Treatment Models

All About ABA treatment models include:

Comprehensive ABA Treatment

This program is when an individual with autism shows global delays including joint attention, imitation skills, self-care, communication skills, adaptive living skills, play skills, social skills, and has challenging behaviors that are impacting his or her everyday life.

Our exceptional ABA team will address the most medically necessary skills by constructing sessions with structure and play based teaching opportunities. When creating a behavioral treatment plan, the BCBA will use functional behavior assessments to identify why a behavior is occurring and identify a skill that is more appropriate to replace the challenging behavior.

These intensive treatment programs range from 20-40 hours of direct therapy per week. All About ABA’s provides parent education meeting and monthly supervision hours. Parent education meetings and recommended supervision hours will be adjusted based upon the recommendation of need for the family.

Focused ABA Treatment

This program is when an individual with autism shows delays, but not global delays. Typically, this will address skills in self-care, communication, independent leisure skills, functional skills, executive functioning skills, skills in health and safety, socialization, and challenging behaviors.

These intensive treatment programs range from 10-20 hours of direct therapy per week. Additionally, there will be required parent education meeting and monthly supervision hours. All About ABA’s provides parent education meetings and recommended supervision hours will be adjusted based upon the recommendation of need for the family.

Support for Parents

Parent Education

One of the innovative programs that we proudly provide at All About ABA is parent education. Our team created this program to give families the tools they need to interact and communicate with each other.

At All About ABA we believe that a critical component of ABA is parent education. Parents will be provided the opportunity to have formal parent education meetings and more natural parent education that may occur naturally in when the Clinical Supervisor is present.

  • Our All About ABA team creates a behavior plan which you can review and implement at home.
  • We incorporate technology and training from our excellent staff to help mentor and support you and your family.
  • You’ll incorporate play skills, which support the growth of parent-child relationships.
  • Your family will learn new communication skills so that positive changes can be maintained for years to come.
  • You will feel rewarded and receive feedback as you experience your child making progress.
  • Parent education helps families build stronger connections through play, communication, and shared learning.
